Hungarian Statistical Review 2024

Our new publication discusses the AI tutor tested during the admission preparatory course for the MSc in Survey Statistics and Data Analytics. Two members of our research group, Renáta Németh and Annamária Tátrai, collaborated with Miklós Szabó and NLP specialist Árpád Tamási to evaluate a system similar to ChatGPT but enhanced with retrieval-augmented generation. This approach reduces hallucinations and explicitly references the provided academic materials.

Over the past months, we have tested the system in other courses at various universities and continue to pursue this research.
